Employers of several Army National Guard soldiers flew over “America’s Most Patriotic Small Town” in a Blackhawk helicopter on July 9.

Nineteen employers participated in the New Mexico Committee of Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve’s, or NM ESGR, first Gallup Bosslift and employer awards luncheon.

“The goal of NM ESGR is to provide employers and civic leaders with hands-on experience of military training and mission briefs, performed by members of the National Guard and Reserve,” the committee stated.

Meeting at Gallup Municipal Airport last Wednesday morning, the participants were divided into two groups. The groups rotated with one flying in the Blackhawk and the other exploring four military vehicles of the 1116th Transportation Company based out of Gallup and Grants.
