Navajo Nation school snow days and delays

Here is a roundup of how weather is affecting schools on the Navajo Nation this week:
  • All schools within the Chinle School District will be closed on Monday.
  • McKinley County Schools in New Mexico will be off for a five-day Thanksgiving break.
  • St. Michael Indian School in St. Michaels, Ariz. will be closed.
  • The Tuba City and Greyhills School Districts will have school tomorrow through Wednesday.
  • Navajo Mountain High School, which is part of the San Juan School District, and Naatsis'aan Community School are closed for the week.
  • Piñon Unified School District will have no school for the week. Window Rock Unified School District No. 8 will be closed Monday and Tuesday.
  • Ganado Unified School District will have school tomorrow through Wednesday.
  • Flagstaff Unified School District is scheduled to have school Monday and Tuesday but parents are encouraged to call the school at 928-527-6012 between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. to find out if any delays or cancelations have been given.
  • Dorm students from the Wide Ruins Community School will not be picked up today.
  • Cottonwood Day School in Cottonwood, Ariz. has no school.
  • Pueblo Pintado Community School in Pueblo Pintado, N.M. is on a two-hour delay.
  • Window Rock Unified School District No. 8 will be closed Monday and Tuesday.

All faculty school members are instructed to call-in to work to find out if they'll be working.
