The Forgotten People were in tribal court again on Wednesday in an effort to get an accounting of how monies set aside for the benefit of families living in the former Bennett Freeze area are being used.

But while Window Rock District Court Judge Carol Perry indicated that an accounting would be done at some time, Wednesday's hearing ended with the various parties being told to provide the court with more information. Another hearing is scheduled to be held in the next couple of months.

This is a dispute that has been in the courts for more than three years and centers around the millions of dollars that the Navajo-Hopi Land Commission has received for various programs to benefit the Navajo families in the former Bennett Freeze area.
